In this Customizing activity, you map the marketing prospect attributes to their corresponding business partner attributes.

Mapping is carried out to convert a marketing prospect to a business partner.

Note: Only one marketing prospect can be converted to a business partner at a time.

A standard set of mapping attributes is provided. It contains all the marketing prospect attributes that are by default mapped to their corresponding business partner attributes.

In addition to the standard attributes, you can create additional marketing prospect attributes. These additional attributes that you create have to be manually mapped to the corresponding attributes of the business partner.

In case an attribute is added to the marketing prospect structure by extensibility feature, a corresponding attribute has to exist in the business partner structure. Otherwise, a new attribute has to be added to the business partner structure for successful mapping to be carried out.

Note: You can delete standard mapping attributes but we recommend that you do not delete them.
