In this Customizing activity you indicate whether quota planning is based on the calendar year or on a fiscal year.

If using a fiscal year, you have configured fiscal year variants in the Customizing activity Maintain Fiscal Year Variant.

Any fiscal year variant that you use for pipeline performance management must conform to the following:

  • 12 standard periods are required
  • Special periods are not permitted
  • Year-dependant definitions are not permitted

Note: Fiscal year variants that use 12 period variants with shifted year are permitted.

Calendar year is selected by default.

  1. Select the quota planning period type. You cannot leave this option blank.
  2. If you selected Calendar Year, do not enter a fiscal year variant.
  3. If you selected Fiscal Year, enter the fiscal year variant.
