In this activity you can make the general settings for product proposals.

You can activate additional functions, that is, carry out pricing and an availability check for the product proposals.

  • Start Availability Check
In this field, you define the corresponding settings for the execution of an availability check. The result of the availability check is displayed with the product proposal. This is a simple availability check because, for example, no product reservation takes place. You can execute a comprehensive availability check only when the products are entered in the sales order. You can choose the following values:
  • No

The availability check is not activated.
  • Automatic

The result of the availability check is automatically displayed with the product proposal.
  • Only on request

The result of the availability check is not immediately displayed with the product proposal, but you can trigger the availability check using a dropdown box, after activating the pushbutton More.
  • Start Pricing
In this field, you define the corresponding settings for pricing . The calculated product price is displayed with the product proposal. The following options are available to you for pricing:
  • No pricing

Pricing is not activated.
  • Automatic pricing with net price list

The prices are transferred from price lists and displayed directly with the product proposal.
Note:The net value remains unchanged if you change the quantity or the unit of measure. This means that if you have chosen this type of pricing, you cannot calculate net prices. In this case, the price displayed corresponds to the price per base unit that is delivered from the price list. The system executes comprehensive pricing only at the point when the product is transferred to the sales order, so the price displayed for the product proposal can differ from the final price.
  • Automatic pricing with IPC

The prices are calculated using the Internet Pricing and Configurator (IPC), and displayed directly with the product proposal. Campaign determination is included with this.
  • Pricing on request with net price list

The prices are transferred from price lists. The prices are not displayed directly with the product proposal when using this value. You can trigger pricing only after pressing the pushbutton More .

You can set up how the product proposals that are based on marketing projects (campaigns or trade promotions) are displayed in a sales transaction. You can choose the following types for the display:

  • Refine product selection using a popup

The marketing projects (campaigns, trade promotions) that match the header data of the sales transaction are displayed in a popup. The user can then select the appropriate marketing projects. As a result, all products from the selected marketing projects are proposed for selection.
  • Display products immediately

All products from the relevant marketing projects are directly proposed for selection and indexed in the assignment block Product Proposals.
