SAP E-Book

In this activity you define how the item proposals based on past orders from a certain customer are displayed in sales transactions.

In the group box Past Order Selection, you can restrict the selection of previous sales transactions, so that only recent orders (for example, from the last six weeks) and specific transaction types (for example, standard orders) are used for the proposals.

You can use the following criteria to restrict order selection:

  • Transaction Filter
Here, you enter a transaction filter that you have defined in the previous activity. The transaction filter controls the transaction types and item object types that are considered for item proposals.
  • Time Period
Only sales transactions created in the specified time period are used to calculate item proposals.
  • Number of Transactions
Only so many sales transactions within the time period defined above are considered, for example, the last ten orders of the past six weeks.

These restrictions also help to improve performance when entering orders. Therefore, the input of a time period is mandatory for the calculation of product proposals from previous sales orders.

In the field Proposed Quantity, you can set whether the system also proposes order quantities for the proposed items, and how it calculates these proposed quantities. If you want the system to calculate an average value from the last few orders, as a proposed quantity, you must specify how many orders are considered for this calculation. You do this in the field No. of Transactions.

In the group box Display Proposalsyou can determine how the item proposals are displayed in the sales order. The following options are available:

  • Immediately
  • The user can preselect sales transactions (based on the filter criteria defined above) from a popup. The item proposals are then calculated from these preselected transactions.

You have defined a transaction filter in the previous activity. For more information, see Define Transaction Filter.
