CRMV_PROV_LENITM - Define Lean Items

In this Customizing activity, you can identify and define lean items. For a specific combination of transaction type and item category, an item should be considered a lean item. This activity is relevant for the Interaction Center and for the dealer application for the telecommunications industry.
You have made the settings in Customizing for Customer Relationship Management under Transactions -> Basic Settings:
- Define Item Category Group
- Define Transaction Types
- Define Item Categories
- Define Item Category Determination
- Copying Control for Business Transactions -> Define Copying Control for Transaction Types
- Define Copying Control for Item Categories
- Define Item Category Determination when Copying
- Billing Plan -> Assign Billing Plan Type to Item Category
To use lean items in the dealer application, you have made the settings in Customizing for Customer Relationship Management under Industry-Specific Solutions -> Telecommunications -> Profiles -> Define Application Profile.
If you have defined telecommunications-specific Customizing settings for item categories, you have to define these settings also for the new item categories in Customizing for Customer Relationship Management under Industry-Specific Solutions -> Telecommunications -> Settings for Telecommunication Transactions.
- Click New Entries.
- Enter the transaction type using input help.
- Enter the item category using input help.
The new combination of transaction type and item category is considered as a lean item.
