In this Customizing activity, you can define reporting options and choose whether a business role assigned to these profiles can see the following activation modes:

  • Both SAP Customer Relationship Management (SAP CRM) interactive reports and Business Intelligence (BI) interactive reports
  • SAP CRM interactive reports but not BI interactive reports
  • BI interactive reports but not SAP CRM interactive reports
  • Neither SAP CRM interactive nor BI interactive reports

You can select one reporting activation mode for each reporting functional profile.

In addition, you can activate the following SAP BusinessObjects reporting options:

  • SAP BusinessObjects Crystal Reports
  • SAP BusinessObjects Xcelsius Dashboards
  • SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise Server Reports

The standard delivery Customizing contains the profile Defaultwith the activation mode BI Interactive Reports Activated and CRM Deactivated.

In addition, SAP BusinessObjects Crystal Reports and SAP BusinessObjects Xcelsius Dashboards are activated by default.

  1. Enter a Reporting Profile ID. (Note: this is only required if you want to create a new reporting profile.)
  2. Select an activation mode. If you choose, for example, BI and CRM Interactive Reports Activated, the user can see BI and CRM interactive reports.
  3. If you select the SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise Server Reports option, you have to specify the following:
    1. URL suffix of the SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise Server, for example, /InfoViewApp/logon.jsp.
    2. ID of the default HTTP destination to the SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise Server as maintained in the Configuration of RFC Connections (transaction SM59).
  4. Enter a description for the reporting profile.
  5. Save your entries.
  6. Assign the reporting functional profiles to a business role in Customizing by choosing Customer Relationship Management -> Business Roles -> Define Business Role.
