In this Customizing activity, you map to the BW system (RFC Destination) and models. You can download analysis results of these configured models from the BW system via background jobs.

You can also create groups (sets) of different BW models and specify a Group ID for your group. Every Web shop could be configured to display analysis results from its own unique group.

After you have specified your groups, when a Web shop customer views a product, advanced recommendations are displayed on the product overview page.

Typically, advanced recommendations come from previous experience that found, for example, that customers who purchased this product also purchased these additional products.

You have defined the target BW system in Customizing for Customer Relationship Management under Marketing -> Marketing Planning and Campaign Management → System Landscape → Define Target Systems (ERP, BW, SEM, cPro)

Maintain BW Data Mining Models

  • RFC Destination
Select the RFC destination of the target BW system.
  • Data Mining Model
Enter the data mining model ID from BW system.
  • Text
Enter a description of the data mining model.

Groups

  • Group ID
Enter a name for a group.

Models Assigned to Group

  • Data Mining Model
Enter a data mining model ID. This is restricted to list of models maintained in Maintain BW Data Mining Models.
  • Text
Enter a description of the data mining model. The same data mining models in different groups can have different descriptions.

Example 1

Create BW system mapping in Define Target Systems (ERP, BW, SEM, cPro)with the following entries:

  • Identification: MKTPLBW
  • Parameter Type: MKTPLBWRFC
  • RFC Destination: [RfcDest]

Example 2

Create customizing to map available models in Maintain BW Data Mining Models with the following entries:

  • RFC Destination: [RfcDest]
  • Mining Model: ModelXYZ
  • Text: ModelXYZ from [RfcDest]

Example 3

In Groups, enter the following information:

  • Group ID: GroupXYZ

Example 4

In Models Assigned to Group, enter the following information:

  • Group ID: GroupXYZ
  • Mining Model: ModelXYZ
  • Text: ModelXYZ from [RfcDest]
