You can use the Rule Criterion 1 field on the Schedule Lines tab in the sales order to provide additional criteria for rule determination in SAP APO.

For example, SAP APO can determine rules that substitute the location but not the product.

This table is used to check entries that the user maintains in this field.

Availability check is carried out with SAP APO and uses rules-based availability check.

Rules-based availability check uses the condition technique and must be set up in SAP APO. This includes

  • A condition type that uses the Rule Criterion 1 field (CRMT_ATP_SUBST_EXCL) in its key
  • One or more condition records for this condition type. The condition record has the field value for an ATP exclusion that is entered here in the IMG (for example, A= no product substitution). This condition record should contain a rule that reflects the purpose of this field; for example, in this case it contains only a location determination procedure. See example below.

In this step you enter the field values that can be used in the Rule Criterion 1 field in the sales transaction, for example,

  • A,,(No product substitution)
  • B,,(No location substitution)

The entries that you maintain here are used for input help in the Rule Criterion 1 field:

  • In the business partner master record under Sales Area Data on the ATP tab.
  • In the sales transaction header on the Header Overview tab, ATP section
  • In the sales transaction item on the Schedule Lines tab

In the sales transaction header or item, you enter A(no product substitution) in the Rule Criterion 1 field.

Using rule determination, SAP APO finds a condition record that has Rule Criterion 1 = A in its key. This condition record has a rule that contains a location determination procedure only.
