In this Customizing activity, you define the rules for determining surveys for problems. You can determine which survey the system proposes based on dates, transaction type, and item category. To refine determination, you can also define additional determination criteria and group these together in a criteria set.

You have defined one or more surveys in Define Surveys.

The standard configuration contains the survey SERVICE_STANDARD as an example.

1. Choose New Entries.
2. Enter an ID and a description for the determination rule.
3. Choose a transaction type and an item category.
4. Enter a validity period for the determination rule.
5. Choose the survey for which the determination rule is valid.
6. Use the checkboxes Mandatory and Active to determine whether the survey must be filled out and whether the determination rule should be active.
7. Save your entries.

You have defined the following determination rules:

Determination Rule:ABC

Valid From:01 January 2017

Valid To: 30 June 2017

Transaction Type:

Questionnaire:PROBLEM_QUESTIONNAIRE_1

Active:X

and

Determination Rule: DEF

Valid From: 01 January 2017

Valid To:30 June 2017

Transaction Type: ITPR

Questionnaire:PROBLEM_QUESTIONNAIRE_2

Active:X

The system will determine the questionnaire PROBLEM_QUESTIONNAIRE_1 for all problems, independent of transaction type. For problems with transaction type ITPR, the questionnaire PROBLEM_QUESTIONNAIRE_2 is proposed in addition to PROBLEM_QUESTIONNAIRE_1.
