In this activity you define the possible reading origins, which show who took a reading or how it was reported. The reading origin can be used for statistical reporting.
You can use Business Add-In BAdI: Validation Check for Readings to define the business logic for the reading type and reading origin. For example, you can restrict the allowed combinations of reading type and reading origin when creating a reading.
The standard system contains the following reading origins:

|---|---|
| 1 | Service Employee |
| 2 | Customer |
| 3 | Back Office |
| 4 | Internet Customer |
