In this activity, you define which readings are given preference for updating the usage overview, if more than one reading exists for the same counter in the same settlement period.

You can define a priority sequence with only one reading origin, for example, if only the reading origin "Customer" is allowed for regular usage readings. You can also assign different reading origins with different priority levels.

When you enter readings with different reading origins, the system transfers the reading with the highest-priority reading origin to the usage overview. If readings with the same reading origin exist, the system uses the reading with the most recent date.

You have defined reading origins in the activity Define Reading Origin.

You determine which priority sequence you want to use for a service contract by entering it in the Control Dataassignment block.

You want to create a priority sequence that specifies that the customer usually performs the reading. If a customer reading is not available for a certain time, the system should use a reading from the service technician to determine usage in the usage overview.

  1. Enter an ID for the new priority sequence.
  2. Enter a short description for the priority sequence. You can enter the sequence of the reading origins, for example Customer -> Service Technician.
  3. Select the new priority sequence and choose Priority of Reading Origin.
  4. Enter an ID for the priority sequence.
  5. Enter 1 for the highest priority and then reading origin 2 for customer.
  6. In the second line, enter the name of the same priority sequence, then 2 for priority two and 1 for reading origin "Service Technician".
