In this Customizing activity, you can define new templates and assign existing templates to loyalty types.

The template determines how you define your rules. The template hides the rule builder user interface and displays a template specific interface, and automatically sets up the rule data such as rule statements and rule actions.

Note that creating new templates has an impact on view configuration and the business logic.

You have defined types for your reward rules and your reward rule groups in the Customizing activity Define Loyalty Types.

In loyalty management, you do the following:

  1. Define templates for loyalty rule maintenance
In this activity, you define the templates that are available in the system. We deliver some standard templates, but you can also create new templates.
  1. Assign templates to loyalty types
In this activity, you assign the template you want to use for a reward rule group or reward rule type. Choose the Standard (Expert Mode) template, if you want to use the rule builder UI.
Note: You must assign reward rule group templates only to reward rule group loyalty types. The system does not check whether you have chosen the correct corresponding loyalty type. This can result in errors during reward rule group creation.

We deliver the following templates:

Reward rule group templates:

  • GENERIC -> Standard (Expert Mode)
You assign this if you want to do expert maintenance.
  • APPLICABILITY -> Standard
You assign this if you want to do standard (simplified) maintenance.

Reward rule templates:

  • GENERIC -> Standard (Expert Mode)
You assign this if you want to do expert maintenance.
  • GENERIC_TIMED -> Standard (Timed) (Expert Mode)
You assign this if you want to do expert maintenance.
  • PRODUCT -> Simple Conditons
