In this Customizing activity, you define whether Web shop customers receive confirmation e-mails. The activities that trigger a confirmation e-mail include the following:

  • When the system generates a service contract quotation in response to the Web shop customer starting the process of extending a service contract
  • After the Web shop customer confirms the service contract quotation and completes the process of extending the service contract

Standard entries are delivered for the service contract (SC1) and service contract quotation (SCQ1) business transaction types. In both cases Internet Sales is specified as the channel, and both the Contractand Quotationoptions are selected.

  1. Ensure that Internet Sales is selected as the channel.
This is a requirement for the activity to work in SAP Web Channel Experience Management.
  1. Select a service contract transaction type to be used in combination with the Internet Saleschannel.
This could be a custom transaction type.
  1. To specify that a confirmation e-mail is sent to the Web shop customer after the system generates a service contract quotation, select the Quotationcheckbox.
  2. To specify that a confirmation e-mail is sent to the Web shop customer after they confirm the service contract quotation, select the Contractcheckbox.
