In this Customizing activity, you define whether Web shop customers receive a confirmation e-mail after they create a service request, and whether they can choose to receive a status e-mail when their service request is updated.

This activity can also be used for information requests.

Note: If you make the status update option available, it appears on the problem description page of the guided process for creating service or information requests.

A standard entry is delivered containing the following values:

  • Internet Sales is specified as the channel
  • ESRVis specified as the transaction type
  • Both the Creationand Updatecheckboxes are selected
  1. Ensure that Internet Sales is selected as the channel.
This is a requirement for the activity to work in SAP Web Channel Experience Management.
  1. Select a service request transaction type to be used in combination with the Internet Sales channel.
This could be a custom transaction type.
  1. To specify that a confirmation e-mail is sent to Web shop customers after they create a service request, select the Creation checkbox.
  2. To specify that Web shop customers can choose to receive an e-mail when their service request is updated, select the Update checkbox.
