Use

External interface CRMXIF_PURCH_REQ_SAVE - Send purchase requisition to a purchasing system (SAP SRM).

This Business Add-In (BAdI) gives you an opportunity to modify the message before it is sent.
You can use your own implementation of interface method CHANGE_MAPPED_DATA_OUT to influence the data mapping from the BDoc structure (source document) to the target document (proxy structure) before sending. Import parameter IS_MESSAGE_EXT provides the data from the source document. Changing parameter CS_DATA_MAPPED (proxy structure) contains the message data that is already filled by SAP. You can define your own rules to change the fields of the proxy structure. Please note, however, that this can cause errors upon receipt of the document in the receiver system - for example, because required-entry fields were deleted or field contents have been changed and can no longer be processed in the receiver system.

Requirements

You want to generate a purchase order from a lease quotation (object items) in a connected purchasing system (SAP SRM). To do so, a requirement notification is set to the purchasing system, which creates a shopping cart and generates a purchase order from it. To do so, you have activated the corresponding external interface, CRMXIF_PURCH_REQ_SAVE, to send this message to the purchasing system via the exchange server (XI). The purchasing system sends confirmations back as a reply to the requirement notification: one confirmation when the shopping cart is created and another when the purchase order is created. To receive and process confirmations, you have to activate external interface CRMXIF_PREQ_CONF_SAVE.

Default Settings

The BAdI is not active in the standard system.

Activities

After you have called the IMG activity, proceed as follows:

  1. In the following dialog box, enter in the field "Implementation" a name for the BAdI implementation and choose Copy.

  2. In the tab Propertiesenter filter properties - if this is a filter-dependent BAdI.

  4. Save and activate your coding, and navigate back to the screen Change Implementation.
  5. Save on the screen Change Implementation.
Note: You can first create an implementation for the BAdI and then activate this later on. In this case, close the processing function at this time.
