In this Customizing activity, you specify the transaction types that are used for automated budget transfer for funds whose budget expires and does not expire. During automated budget transfer definition and execution, the fund determination profile that is assigned to the transaction type in the Customizing activity Assign Fund Determination Profiles is used for determining the funds. The budget of both the source and the target fund must either expire or not expire.

If no fund determination profile is assigned to the transaction type, there will be no restrictions on the funds that can be determined and selected.

Note: The following errors can occur during automated budget transfer postings:

  • Errors during automated budget transfer execution:
  1. The funds that are specified during automated budget transfer definition no longer permit budget transfers (for example, because the status of the fund or the corresponding funds plan has been changed).
  2. The fund determination Customizing settings or the fund determination profile that is assigned to the transaction type have been changed after automated budget transfer definition.
  3. The amount that is available for transfer is not sufficient.
  • Errors during automated budget transfer posting creation:
The source fund, the target fund, or both have been locked.

The availability control (AVC) profile that is assigned to the transaction type in the Customizing activity Assign Funds Management AVC Profiles is used only for erroneous automated budget transfer postings.

You have defined transaction types for automated budget transfer in the Customizing activity Define Transaction Types.

You have defined fund determination profiles in the Customizing activity Define Fund Determination Profiles.

You have defined AVC profiles in Customizing for Customer Relationship Management under Funds Management -> Availability Control (AVC).
