CRM_ACE_RULES - Create Rules

A rule is the relationship between a user and an object for a subset of objects of a type; that is, it is defined for object types, but is not valid for all objects of the type. To map the relationship, the rule provides actors for users and objects for which a right is to be valid.

From the technical viewpoint, a rule consists of one or several ABAP object classes and some entries in database tables.

The following steps are intended to help you to develop a rule for the ACE that is tailored to your requirements. To do this, create an authorization matrix that reflects the access authorizations in your company. Rules, rights, users, or user groups can be part of this matrix.

Target group:

The target group for this documentation about creating rules is implementation project developers. Administrators supervise the ACE in operation.
