CRM_ACT_STANDARDJRNL - Activate Standard Template Type

In this activity, you activate the standard activity journal template type, which is part of the standard delivery. You can use the standard template type to copy products from preceding documents to activity journals, or to copy products from activity journals to follow-up transactions. For example, products from an opportunity are automatically copied to the corresponding activity journal template type when you use the standard activity journal template type. This template type is valid for all transaction types, categories and date ranges.
Note that you carry out this activity only once. Once you have created the standard template type, you cannot make any changes to it, such as add new fields, and you cannot assign a transaction type or an activity journal template to it.
The standard template type is called SAP_TYPE. Once you have created it in this step, it appears in the template type (in the CRM WebClient UI, under Sales Operations), and automatically contains the following fields:
- Discussed
- Quantity
- Batch ID
- Product
- Product description
These are the only fields which are supported for the standard template type. All these fields are copied to follow-up transactions, except the Discussed field.
To activate the standard activity journal template type, proceed as follows:
- Specify the languages for which you want to create the template type.
- Choose Execute to activate the standard template type.
