CRM_BF_PRODVOR - Create Method Schema

In this activity you create the method schema that determines how product proposals are generated and combined.

Each method schema can contain one or more methods as required.

The system reads the method schema and runs through the methods in the order listed.

You want to define a method schema that provides a list of top n products plus accessories for these products.

You first enter the method that provides a list of top n products, followed by the function module that determines the accessories. Since you want the products that result from these methods to be combined, you define the Combination type as Add result.

To create a new method schema:

1. Choose New entries
2. Enter a name for the method schema and choose Save.
3. Select the method schema and double-click on Structure.
4. Choose New entries.
5. Enter the appropriate data (the fields Order, Function module, and Combination type are required entries) and choose Save.
   Choose which function module you wish to insert for each method schema:
   - Top n product: function module CRM_MKTPR_PP_TOPN_TG_READ
   - Cross-selling: function module CRM_MKTPR_PP_CS_TG_READ
   - Up-selling: function module CRM_MKTPR_PP_US_TG_READ
   - Down-selling: function module CRM_MKTPR_PP_DS_TG_READ
   Accessories offered as a product proposal do not depend on the target group. They are product-dependent.
6. Double-click on Description and then choose New entries.
7. Enter the language and description and choose Save.

To create an origin indicator:

1. Select Origin indicator and choose New entries.
2. Enter a name, language, and a description for the indicator.
3. Save your data.
