CRM_BP_PERSDESC - Add Custom Fields to ICM Entities

To add custom fields to ICM entities, you can use the key user extensibility tool. For more information about the key user extensibility tool, see the SAP Help Portal at http://help.sap.com -> SAP S/4HANA -> General Functions for Key Users -> SAP Fiori Applications -> Extensibility.

For extending the ICM entities fields using the extensibility tool, use the following Business Context:

ICM person fields:

  • CRMS4_ICM_BP_AID,,ICM Alternative Identity Extension
  • CRMS4_ICM_BP_DESC,,ICM Personal Description Extension
  • CRMS4_ICM_BP_EX,,ICM BP Header Extension

ICM case and lead fields:

  • CRMS4_CMG,,Case Attributes Extension
  • CRMS4_CMG_CAT,,Case Categories Extension
  • CRMS4_CMG_N,,Case Note attribute Extension
  • CRMS4_ICM_CMG,,ICM Case/Lead Extension

ICM activity and incident fields:

  • CRMS4_ACTV_H,,Activity Header
  • CRMS4_ICM_LAWREF,,ICM Law Reference Header Segment Extension

ICM location fields:

Location

  • CRMS4_ICM_LOC,,ICMLocation Extension

ICM object fields:

  • CRMS4_ICM_OBJ,,ICMObject Extension

Note! To add custom fields in the location and object UI, you must configure the Customizing activity Define Category-Dependent Extensions for Locations and Objects, only then the key user extensibility feature is enabled in the location and object UI.

To add new fields to the Descriptions of Person assignment block, you can do it manually. The manual option allows you to use the Customizing tables provided.

To add fields manually, do the following:

  1. In transaction SE11, create a data element that uses domain CRMT_ICM_GENKEY.
  2. Create an append structure for structure CRMT_ICM_BP_DESCR.
  3. Add the new field to the append structure using the new data element.
  4. Enter the foreign key relationship for the new field. Use the table CRMC_ICM_VALUES and enter a constant in the FIELDNAME field that contains the field name. For example, if the new field is called ZZ_HOBBY the constant should contain ZZ_HOBBY.
