You can replicate R/3 sales contracts (value and quantity contracts) to the CRM system. When you save either a new or changed sales contract in the R/3 system, the system automatically downloads it to the CRM system. You can also run an initial download to transfer all existing R/3 sales contracts to the CRM system.

You can then display R/3 contracts across the different sales channels in CRM such as SAP Internet Sales or SAP Mobile Sales. You can also create release orders for the R/3 contracts in CRM Enteprise Sales.

This document describes the settings you need to make in various IMG activities in order to be able to replicate R/3 sales contracts to the CRM system. For information about the other necessary steps, see the SAP Library under Customer Relationship Management → Enterprise Sales → Contract Management.

The following contract types in the standard system enable the replication of sales contracts to take place automatically:

  • KM - R/3 quantity contract
  • WK1 - R/3 value contract
  • WK2 - R/3 value contract with configurable products
  1. If you use your own contract types, check that the same contract types and item categories exist in both systems:
  • See the IMG in CRM under Customer Relationship Management → Business Transactions -> Basic Settings → Define Transaction Type, Define Item Categories, and then Define Item Category Determination.

  • See the IMG in the SAP R/3 system under Sales and Distribution → Sales Documents → Sales Document Header → Define Sales Document Types as well as Sales Document Items → Define Item Categories.

  1. Check that copying control is set up in the same way for contracts and sales (release) orders in both systems:
  • See the IMG for Customer Relationship Management → Business Transactions → Basic Settings → Copying Control for Business Transactions.

  • See the IMG in the SAP R/3 system under Sales and Distribution → Sales Documents → Maintain Copy Control for Sales Documents.

  1. Check that the number ranges are correctly defined:
  • See the IMG in CRM under Customer Relationship Management → Business Transactions → Basic Settings → Define Number Ranges.

  • See the IMG in the SAP R/3 system under Sales and Distribution → Sales → Sales Document Types → Define Number Ranges for Sales Documents.
