In this activity you can define folder structures for documents linked to a case. You do this by assigning folder templates to document nodes in the case record models for individual case types.

You can modify a folder template by creating new subfolders or changing the sequence of existing subfolders. You can also assign a folder template to a different document node, or delete an existing folder template assignment.

Note: Any changes you make to an assignment are only valid for cases created after this change; cases that you previously created retain the old folder structure.

You have:

  1. Select a case type.
  2. Choose a document node from the dropdown list.
The system automatically determines valid document nodes from the relevant case record model. If there are no document nodes in your case record model, the dropdown list is empty.
  1. Choose a folder template from the list of possible entries.
If there are no document nodes in your case record model, you can enter a folder template only. The system uses this template for documents on case header level (without reference to a case record).

You have created a case record model with the document nodes "Inquiries", "Orders", and "Invoices". You want separate subfolders for incoming and outgoing invoices to appear under the "Invoices" node in the case. Therefore, you define a folder template INVOICES in which you create the subfolders "Incoming Invoices" and "Outgoing Invoices". You then assign the folder template INVOICES to the document node "Invoices" in the record model.
