In this activity you can display the full range of default settings for the predefined case types provided by SAP. Only a selection of these settings are visible in the basic case type customizing activity Define Case Type.

You only change the settings in this activity if you want to perform a non-standard implementation of Case Management.

Note: SAP does not provide predefined workflow templates (see field Process Route Used) in the standard SAP CRM system for process routes within Case Management.

Parameters for the general SAP Case Management function

These parameters are relevant if you use the general SAP Case Management tool within SAP Records Management (SAP GUI transaction SCASE). They are used for making default settings for the case type.

There are two SET/GET parameters for the case:

  • SCMG_CTYPE: Default case type that is proposed when you create a case (must be valid in the current area and in the current Records Management System). Assign the technical name of a case type as a value.
  • SCMG_DSUB : Default case component that is displayed when a case is called for the first time. Assign a number (corresponding to the order of case components) or the FCODE of the case component as a value. If this parameter is not set, the notes are displayed.
