You can use this Customizing activity to define partner determination procedures and the partner functions that the partner determination procedures contain. For each function, you can specify the maximum and minimum values: the number of partners that can be specified for each case, and how many partners must be specified for each case.

You have defined partner functions in Customizing for Case Management by choosing Extended Customizing -> Process Partners -> Define Partner Functions.

  1. Create a new partner determination procedure by selecting a determination procedure from the Change View: "Partner Determination Procedures" screen and choosing Edit -> Copy As.
  2. Select the procedure you just created in the previous step and maintain the settings on the Change View: "Partner Functions in Procedure" screen. You can add, change, or delete partner functions.
You use the minimum and maximum values to control the number of business partners that can be entered for each partner function:
  • The minimum value defines the minimum number of business partners that must be entered for the corresponding partner function. The initial value for the minimum value is zero. If you do not enter any minimum value for a partner function, the system interprets it as zero. In this case, no business partners must be entered for this partner function.

  • The maximum value defines the highest number of business partners that can be specified for a partner function. The initial value for the maximum value is also zero. If you do not enter any maximum value for a partner function, the system interprets it as zero.

  • If you do not specify the minimum or maximum value for a partner function, or if you set both values to zero, the partner function is not available in the partner determination procedure.

  1. Assign the partner determination procedure to a case type so that it is available for that case type. You can do so in Customizing for Case Management by choosing Extended Customizing -> Process Partners -> Assign Partner Determination Procedure.
