In this activity you can define buttons for creating business transactions directly from the business partner cockpit.

Your call center agents use the business partner cockpit to call up information about their customers and wish to be able to create both telephone calls and sales orders directly from the cockpit. Therefore, you can define three pushbuttons in this activity for:

  • Create inbound telephone call
  • Create outbound telephone call
  • Create sales order

so that your employees can jump directly from the cockpit to the relevant business transactions.

The standard system contains pushbuttons for creating:

  • Emails
  • Telephone calls
  • Visits
  • Tasks
  • Meetings
  • Opportunities
  • Quotations

To create new pushbuttons for the business partner cockpit, enter the transaction type and number of the pushbutton. In the Text field, enter the text that you wish to appear on the pushbutton itself.

If you wish to link to activities and you have one activity with several categories, you can enter the category in the relevant field. Ensure that you enter the same activity type in the previous field. For example, your system contains activity 000 with categories:

  • Telephone call 0001
  • Email 0002
  • Visit 0003

In this case, you can create three pushbuttons and your entries will appear as follows in the table:

Transaction type Category
Activity 000 Telephone call 0001
Activity 000 Email 0002
Activity 000 Visit 0003

Note that you can only define up to seven pushbuttons.
