Notifications inform partners and brand owners about new objects or changes to objects (such as status changes, for example) and are sent by the system using SAP Mail or standardized communication channels such as in house e-mail or fax.

The standard delivery contains the following types of notification:

  • Notifications of actions:
  • Registration request: Notifications about accepted/rejected requests and registration confirmations

  • Qualification request: Notifications about accepted/rejected requests and qualification confirmations

  • Lead: Notifications about rejected leads

  • Opportunity: Notifications about rejected opportunities/reduced chances of success

  • Notifications about extended notifications:
  • Notifications about leads and opportunities that were distributed to partners

  • Notifications about SAP Business Workflow:
  • Notifications about leads and opportunities that the partner has transferred back to the brand owner

You can create additional types of notification. Think about how the notification should be issued (actions/extended notifications/SAP Business Workflow) and carry out the appropriate Customizing and administration settings.

For you to be able to use notifications in channel management, you must have made settings in other areas of Customizing as well as certain settings in the administration.

Depending on whether you want to use the notifications with actions, extended notifications, or SAP Business Workflow, you can make the appropriate settings in the following areas of the IMG and the administration:

Actions

Settings in the administration:

  • Create a PDF form for the attachment (Form Builder - transaction SFP)

Settings in Customizing:

Extended Notifications

Settings in the administration:

Normally, you should not need to modify the settings in the standard delivery. However, if you have defined your own workflows, you must enter these in the administration of extended notifications (transaction SWNADMIN or transaction SWNCONFIG).

SAP Business Workflow

Settings in the administration:

If you want to change the notification text sent with the SAP Business Workflow, you must you must do this in the Workflow Builder (transaction SWDD).
