If you want to use the collaborative showroom in Channel Management, we recommend that you create two different sales areas. In this way you ensure that the business transactions between partners and brand owners on the one hand and between end customers and partners on the other hand can be evaluated separately. For later analyses, you can evaluate these sales areas separately.

You should create the following sales areas:

  • a sales area for sales transactions between partners and brand owners
This sales area is used for B2B orders between partners and brand owners, as well as for orders-to-stock that originate from the hosted order management.
Create this sales area in your R/3 system, because your partners purchase orders are forwarded via the CRM system for further processing in your R/3 system.
  • a sales area for sales transactiosn between end customers and partners
This sales area is used for sales transactions that the final customers creates in the cooperative showroom. Your partners then process these sales transactions in the CRM system in Order Hosting Management.
Remember that the 'Actual hosting organization' attribute must be flagged in organization management for th sales organization of this sales area.
These business transactions are not forwarded to the R/3 system. We recommend, however, that you create the hosting sales area in the R/3 system and replicate it in the CRM system so that you can also assign products with a product master in the R/3 system to this sales area.

  1. Create the two sales areas in the R/3 system (each with sales organization and distribution channel). You do this in Customizing for the enterprise structure under Definition-> Sales.
  2. Replicate the data from the R/3 system in your CRM system and supplementthe data in your CRM system. For further information, see Data exchange for organizational data in the help portal.
  3. In the CRM system, make the settings for organizational management. You do this in Customizing for Customer Relationship Managements under Master Data -> Organizational Management.
