CRM_CIC_033 - Define Retrieval Profiles for Business Partner Attributes

You use this IMG activity to run leaner, targeted searches for information you need for the Interaction Center (IC) WinClient. This targeted search is faster than a traditional search because it only retrieves the information you are looking for, rather than sifting through all available information.

Two hidden components, Company-Related Content (COMPANY_PROF) and Contact-Related Content (CONTACT_PROF), obtain business partner data from the following data sources:

• Target groups

• Attribute sets

• Business Information Warehouse (BW) attributes

The component Company-Related Content finds this information for the main business partner (company), while the component Contact-Related Content retrieves this information for the dependent business partner (contact person). This information is then used by the alert modeler. For more information, see Maintain Alert Modeler Profile.

Profiles defined in this activity appear as F4 selection options for the components Company-Related Content and Contact-Related Content in the activity Maintain IC WinClient Profile.

You have included the component Alert Modeler no control (ALRT_MODLRX) in your IC WinClient profile if you plan to use either component Company-Related Content or component Contact-Related Content.

1. Create a new profile.

You can also create a new profile by copying an existing one.

1. Define which data sources you want the system to search by doing one or more of the following:

• Selecting Use Target Group

• Inserting attribute sets

Defines the information you want the system to return from the business partner's data.

• Inserting BW attributes

Defines the information you want the system to return from the BW attributes

1. If required, select Read Asynchronously.

If you select this indicator, you must enter two URLs for the business server pages.

You have defined in this IMG activity that the hidden components Company-Related Content and Contact-Related Content are to look up leisure activities, number of children, and sales volume for each business partner. You have also defined an alert modeler rule that the system looks up this information whenever the agent confirms a business partner. The alert modeler then uses this information to display any relevant messages to the agent.

An agent confirms a business partner. The hidden components Company-Related Content and Contact-Related Content obtain the information above from the target groups, attribute sets, and BW attributes, and add it to an internal table. This list shows the system that this business partner plays golf, has 3 children, has a sales volume between $150-200 billion, and pays all bills within 2 days. The alert modeler uses this data to display the following scripts to the agent:

• Mention our "Golf Getaway" bonus offer effective until the end of the month.

• One of our best customers - Be especially courteous.
