CRM_CIC_036 - Define Customer-Specific Meta Model

In this IMG activity, you can create, copy, display, change, or delete customer-specific meta models. Meta models may include a list of available IC WinClient events, data objects (published by IC WinClient components), and functions providing access to IC WinClient components (such as triggering an action box transaction). The meta model uses XML to describe the structure (events and data objects) and contains JavaScript code (functions for accessing IC WinClient components).

Meta models defined in this activity appear on the Model Selection screen when you create an alert modeler profile using the IMG activity Maintain Alert Modeler Profile

1. Enter a name and choose Create.
2. Choose Properties and enter a description.
3. Add XML data.

A list of all available events, data objects, and functions can be found in the DEFAULT profile delivered by SAP.

1. Save your data.
2. Start the alert modeler editor and create a new profile using the meta model you just created.

If you change the meta model, you will most likely need to make corresponding changes to IC WinClient components so that the IC WinClient will publish the new data to the alert modeler. For example, if you change the meta model to include social security number and driver's license number, this information will not be available to the alert modeler unless you modify the IC WinClient components accordingly.

If you want to enable the alert modeler to call up IC WinClient components, you must program the alert modeler accordingly.
