You can use this function to manually export XI case information from one SAP system to another. This is intended more for administrators, but can be used by a case processor.

You specify the case information, such as case ID, or case type, and other search criteria to find the cases for export. You also can simulate an export to be sure that you are exporting the correct cases.

An exchange infrastructure must be configured for transferring information to another system before you can use this function.

  1. Enter the case information you want to search for. You can search for one case or a range of cases. You can also restrict the search further by user and time.
  2. Under the Options, choose whether you want to:
    - Simulate the export.
    - Go to a confirmation screen before the export to ensure that the correct cases are exported.
    - Export the cases directly without any confirming which cases are being sent.
  3. You can choose to display a maximum number of messages in the results to be exported by setting the value in the No. of Cases per XI Message field. For performance reasons, you need to determine the maximum number of messages you can export without causing memory problems. We recommend setting this value to 100.
  4. Choose Execute (F8).
  • If you choose Simulation, you see a list of cases that you can export, but cannot execute any further actions.

  • If you choose Confirm Before Export, you see the results of the search, so you can verify the case information for export. From that screen, choose Export. After the cases are transferred, a new screen appears if the export was successful.

  • If you choose Do Not Confirm Before Export, the results of the export are displayed immediately.
