CRM_DWP_FUNC_SCHED - Select Active Functions for Scheduling Engine

In this IMG activity you define the active scheduling engine functions.

Appointment Scheduling

If appointment scheduling is active, you can use this functionality in the Interaction Center. Also check the settings under Appointment Scheduling.

Resource Planning Tool in the CRM System withthe component WFMCORE_200:To ensure that appointment scheduling is working properly, you have to set up the publisher in Customizing for the WFD Server. You use the CRM_LRP_WFM_CALL_BACK function module as call back function module. The function module should be called when creating and deleting an assignment.

Resource Planning Application in the WFD Add On 2.0: To ensure that appointment scheduling is working properly, you have to ensure that the above mentioned Call backs are notcustomized.

You also have to set up appointment interval groups and strategies in Customizing for the WFD Server (only set up strategies if you are using the liveCache Dispatcher).

Service Process Buffers

If you activate this function, the service processes are kept in the buffers when you change the service team in the resource planning tool, which leads to better performance when switching service teams. However, frequent switching between many different service teams leads to an increased burden on the memory. To prevent this, you can make a setting stipulating that the buffer should always be deleted when switching between service teams.

Ranking List of Resources to Tasks

If this function is active, a ranking list of resources to tasks can be displayed in the resource planning tool. This ranking list contains the percentage of suitability for qualifications, availabilities and an overall percentage of suitability.

Groupware Connection via WFD Server

You use this function to define that the WFD Server groupware connection should be used. You make the setting for this connection in Customizing for the WFD Server. This setting is only valid if you use the WFD Server as scheduling engine.

WFD Server: To ensure the groupware connection functions properly when using the WFD Server, you have to set up the publisher in Customizing for the WFD Server. You use the CRM_LRP_WFM_CALL_BACK function module as callback module. The function module should be called when creating, deleting, and changing an assignment, and when changing a workforce requirement.

The CRM_LRP_WFM_GW_RESOURCE report can be used to transfer the e-mail address of the business partner to the groupware adapter of the WFD Server.

These Customizing settings are client-specific.

To use the Appoinment Scheduling, Ranking List of Resources to Tasksand Groupware Connection via WFD Server functions, you have to use a scheduling engine that supports these functions.

Appointment scheduling and the buffering of service processes are not active in the SAP CRM standard system.
