This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used in the Service Resource Planning (CRM-RPL-SRV) component:

  • You can use this BAdI in combination with BAdI Connecting RPA to Scheduling Engine to connect a scheduling engine to the resource planning solution. You can either connect the scheduling engine WFD Server, or you can connect an external scheduling engine.
  • You can use this BAdI for appointment offering in the Interaction Center (IC) WebClient.

If you want to use the CRM_SRV_SDL_RFC implementation for connecting to an external scheduling engine, you have to ensure that the scheduling engine can process the RFC calls for this implementation.

The standard system contains two BAdI implementations:

  • CRM_SRV_SDL_WFDS
Connection to scheduling engine WFD Server
  • CRM_SRV_SDL_RFC
Connection to external scheduling engine

In the standard system, the BAdI is activated. The BAdI implementation CRM_SRV_SDL_WFDS is executed automatically.

The BAdI is filter-dependent. The filter defines which BAdI implementation is used. You can set the appropriate filter in the Customizing activity Select Scheduling Engine. You can set only one filter, and only one BAdI implementation is called and executed.

In the standard system, the filter WFDS for BAdI implementation CRM_SRV_SDL_WFDS is set.

Note that BAdI implementation CRM_SRV_SDL_WFM is obsolete.
