SAP E-Book

In this IMG activity, you make the different basic settings for the one-to-one e-mail function, which contains Groupware integration.

You identify whether e-mails created in HTML format are to be automatically duplicated in plain text format.

Groupware Integration

If you do not make each of the following settings, the relevant areas of your e-mail function are not integrated with groupware (Microsoft Outlook or Lotus Notes). If this is the case, the value None will be adopted for each of the following three options in the standard system.

  • You define which groupware you want to use for the address search and address validation on the e-mail send screen.
  • You specify the groupware inbox from which e-mails are to be transferred to the CRM system.
  • You select to which groupware a copy of the e-mails sent from the CRM system are to be transferred.

The different settings in this activity are independent of one another and optional.

Microsoft Outlook and/or Lotus Notes can only be integrated if these applications have been installed on the computer of the respective user.

You also have the option of setting up the e-mail transfer function directly in your Microsoft Outlook application. For the relevant data and the procedure, see the CRM_EMAIL_OUTLOOK transaction.

In this variant of e-mail transfer from a Groupware application to the CRM system, you can only transfer e-mails from your Microsoft Outlook inbox. To transfer e-mails from Lotus Notes, you have to use the relevant application in the People-Centric UI.
