CRM_ETC_TECHRES_001 - Define Assignment Schema for Technical Resources

In this Customizing activity, you define the assignment schema for technical resources.

The system provides the assignment of primary and additional objects. The primary object reflects the ID of the service, which is also used for rating and billing as identifier of the service. Therefore, IDs of primary resources are checked for uniqueness (exception: see activity Define Product Check Groups). When integrating ETC contract management with EDR Billing, the primary object is used as billing object.

If the assignment schema defines additional objects, the user can capture additional IDs. These IDs are used for contract search and will be sent to external applications, for example, for the purpose of fraud detection. No checks are executed during assignment of additional resources. This means you can assign the same ID in multiple concurrent contracts.

Create resource types in folder 'Resource type'. If your resource type requires an individual object to be assigned to the contract, enter object family, settype name and attribute name. Settype name and attribute name are needed for extraction of the key value from the individual object in order to copy it to the contract data for quick reference.

Create assignment schemas in folder 'Assignment schema'. Switch to folder 'Allowed assignments' to maintain the schema. Create assignment schema lines with the appropriate line type. Only one line with line type 'Primary' is allowed, the number of 'Additional' lines is not limited. Primary lines allow a single, mandatory assignment, as additional lines can be customized freely.

For truck highway toll an on board unit (OBU) is mandatory, license plate number is only an additional resource. So the schema contains the OBU serial id as the primary line, as additional resource license plate numbers are allowed with a minimum of 0 entries (optional) and a maximum of 1 entry.

For the car toll OBUs are not required, the assignment schema contains just a primary line with the license plate number.
