Specifics for action profile determination in billing

Enhancing the field catalog with user-defined fields

If you wish to add your own fields to the field catalog, you must ensure that the fields are fillled correctly. If a field exists with the same name in the billing document header, the field is filled automatically. However, you have to make sure that your new field catalog name has the same data type as the field in the billing document header. If the field name in the field catalog does not match the field name in the billing document header, you have to do the mapping yourself. In this case, go to Customizing for Cross-Application Components → BE Framework → Call BE Navigatorand proceed as follows:

1. Create a subscription which includes your mapping logic from the field in the billing document header to the new field in the field catalog.
2. Assign your susbscription to the event PPFAPD1. This event belongs to the feature PPF_APD, which is assigned to the billing object BD. Make sure that you use the correct billing application. For CRM Billing, the standard billing application is CRMB.
