This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used in the Actions (CRM-BF-ACI) component.

You can use this BAdI to create your own BAdI implementations for processing methods. You can then assign your implementations to actions with the processing type Method Call in Customizing.

To use this BAdI:

1. Choose the Create pushbutton to create a BAdI implementation.

2. Specify a name for your implementation and filter values in the dialog box. Note that the type of filter you enter must be unique, as this later appears for selection in the IMG activity Define Action Profiles and Actions, under Processing Types → Settings Method Call.

3. Enter a short text for the method. This can be the same text as for the implementation.

4. Note that you need to set the processing status in the implementation itself; this status later appears on the user interface when you process the action. The process status can either be Successful (Status =1) or Contains Errors (Status =2).

5. Activate the method and the BAdI implementation.

6. Assign your implementation to the processing type Method Call in the Customizing activity Define Action Profiles and Actions, under Processing Types → Settings Method Call. You can find this activity in Customizing for CRMby choosing Basic Functions → Actions → Actions in Transaction → Change Actions and Conditions.

7. Your implementation is run when you process the specified action.

You are familiar with the Post Processing Framework for Actions.

The BAdI is activated in the standard system.

The BAdI is filter-dependent.

For information about the implementation of BAdIs in the context of the Enhancement Concept, see SAP Library for SAP NetWeaver under BAdIs - Embedding in the Enhancement Framework.

An example of a BAdI implementation is COPY_DOCUMENT. You can use this to generate a follow-up document. For example, this is used in Activity Management and Opportunity Management.

For more information on Actions, see the Customizing documentation for CRM by choosing Basic Functions → Actions, andSAP Libraryin Customer Relationship Management → Basic Functions → Actions.
