CRM_FS_UIU_ITEMCAT - Determine Interface for Item Categories

In this IMG activity, you assign one or more item categories to the UI object types in Financial Services for use on the CRM WebClient UI. You use this assignment to specify which interface is used to display item details. To view the item information, in the item overview in the financing document choose Details.

You have created a new item category in Customizing for Customer Relationship Management (CRM). This item category has all the properties required in Financial Services.

Alternatively, you have created a new UI object type on the CRM WebClient UI. This object type has all the properties required in Financial Services.

In Financial Services, the standard system delivers the following UI object types that are relevant for financing documents:

To change the assignments delivered by SAP:

  1. Create a new entry with the desired UI object type and item category
  2. Delete old entries if the original existing combinations are no longer used

If you link a new, user-defined interface to the item details (for example, for a new item category) and do not want to reuse an existing interface:

  1. Implement the new overview page within your own item component for CRM WebClient UI: Configure User Interface.
  2. Create an outbound plug that defines the navigation from the product structure to the component for the item details.
  3. In the component BT114H_LAM, in the view ProductTreeOV add data to the event handler EH_ONITEMDETAILS so that the correct entity linked to the item component is found in the collection wrapper.
  4. Create the navigation link to enable navigation from the newly created outbound plug to the overview page in the item component.
  5. Repeat the last two steps for the view ProductTreeEF in the component BT114H_LAM.
