You can specify one or more BI Queries and Infoproviders (InfoCube or ODS) as sources of data for a BI-ICM transfer application. The BI interface relies on the query as it's data source for ICM.

You have done the following:

  • Defined a BI-ICM transfer application.
  • Set up an RFC destination for the BI system.
  • Identified or defined a Query within the BI system.

Specify the Technical Query Name and Infoprovider. You must associate the query (or queries) with the BI-ICM transfer application. The activity generates a Query ID for each BI Query.

Note: The Query ID is required in later processing steps.

You can enter the query description manually, or click Get Query Text and retrieve the query description from the BI system.

Although there are other ways to load data directly into the database, you must use this activity to load BI data by associating the query with the BI-ICM transfer application.
