Creating a Commission Case requires a Business Object ID. In a scenario where aggregated data is returned by the Query, it is likely that the Query does not provide a Business Object ID. Unless the business object ID exists, the BI-ICM Interface generates a Business Object ID by using the number range intervals.

A Query that does not provide a Business Object ID.

Create one or more Internal Number Range Intervals. When you create more than one Internal Number Range Interval, the system uses the next interval after it has utilized all numbers within the previous range.

By providing the ability to utilize multiple Internal Number Range Intervals, you can set the ranges to exclude specific ranges. For example, CRM and BI data utilize the same Business Object type (910, for example) and CRM uses the Business Object ID range 5000 to 6000. You can exclude this range using the Internal Number Range Intervals:

Interval   From Number   To Number
01   1000   4999
02   6001   7000

During processing using these Internal Number Range Intervals, the system does not overwrite CRM data with data from BI for the numbers 5000 to 6000.

External Number Range Intervals are ignored by the BI-ICM Interface.

7000
