This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used in the Investigative Case Management(CRM-S4-IPS-ICM) component.

You can use this BAdI to do the following:

  • Determine the Main Organizationresponsible for a case
  • Determine the Main Employee Responsibleand Main Group Responsible for a case
  • Define which process type and category to use to create a main incident from the case header
  • Define the case search criteria for the investigative case hierarchy ID

This BAdI contains the following methods:

In the standard system, BAdI implementation CRM_ICM_CMG_C is activated with the following methods by default:

  • GET_ORG_FROM_GROUP
The main organization responsible is determined by retrieving the root organization of the main group responsible in the organizational model.
  • GET_INCIDENT_PROC_CAT
The standard process type and category are determined by the first ICM incident type.

There are no default settings for the GET_DEFAULT_EMPLOYEE and GET_DEFAULT_GROUP methods. However, the following sample settings are provided and can be inherited from BAdI implementation CRM_ICM_CMG_EHP1_C:

  • The main employee responsible is determined and the user's business partner ID is provided. If a user is not assigned to a business partner the field is left empty.
  • The main group responsible is determined and the user's business partner group ID is provided. If a user is assigned to more than one group then the field is left empty.

For information about the implementation of BAdIs in the context of the Enhancement Concept, see SAP Library for SAP NetWeaver under BAdIs - Embedding in the Enhancement Framework.
