CRM_IC_063 - Define Outgoing E-Mail Address Groups
TXBHW - Original Tax Base Amount in Local Currency TXBHW - Original Tax Base Amount in Local CurrencyThis documentation is copyright by SAP AG.
In this Customizing activity, you logically group e-mail addresses that agents can choose as their outgoing e-mail address when responding to e-mails. These e-mail addresses appear in the From dropdown list in the e-mail editor in Service.
If you do not maintain this activity, agents will not have the option of choosing an outgoing e-mail address.
Note that in Service you can use the Business Add-In (BAdI) CRM_IC_DFLT_SENDER_ADDR to further influence defaulting of outgoing e-mail addresses.
You have defined e-mail addresses.
- Create outgoing e-mail address groups.
- Each group you define can have its own set of e-mail addresses assigned to it.
- Assign e-mail addresses.
- You can choose an e-mail address or a name to appear in the Fromfield of your e-mails in the recipient's system. This could be the name of a department, such as service department or a name of a person. If you want a name to appear in the Fromfield instead of the e-mail address of the sender, you must enter the following:
- A name
- A blank space
- The e-mail address in angle brackets
- Note:
- Make sure you enter a blank space between the name you want to show in the Fromfield and the e-mail address that you enter within angle brackets. You can use uppercase and lowercase letters. You must not exceed 70 characters for the name and e-mail.
- You can add multiple e-mail addresses to the same outgoing address group by creating a new line and using the same outgoing address group.
- You can add an empty e-mail address in the Address/Number field of this Customizing activity, but this will only be displayed in the Fromfield on the WebClient UI, if new e-mails are not saved automatically. For more information, see SAP Note 1968668.
- Assign the outgoing address group to the e-mail profile.
