In this IMG activity, you define groups that are used in determining script authorization levels in the interactive script editor. Both scripts and roles use these script authorization groups. The role determines the specific authorization level, for example, delete, for each script authorization group. Any users assigned to the role then inherits the authorizations. If you do not assign script authorization groups to scripts, then all users can see the scripts.

  1. Define script authorization groups.
  2. Save.
  3. Assign the script authorization group to a script in the interactive script editor.
In the interactive script editor, after you select a script, choose the Script Properties tab. Select a Script Group. The possible values are the entries you maintained in this activity.
  1. Assign the authorization object, CRM_IC_SCR, to your role and assign the script authorization groups and the authorization levels.

You define script authorization groups A and B.

In the script editor, you assign the Sales script to group A and the Service script to group B.

You assign authorization group A, with display authorization, for the IC manager role.

Any user assigned to the IC manager role can only display the Sales script in the interactive script editor.
