CRM_IC_47 - Define Profile for Scheduled Business Appointments

In this activity you can define a profile for displaying and maintaining (with restrictions) the business partner data "Planned Business Appointments" in the Interaction Center (IC) WebClient. The business appointments are available on the Schedule and Notes screen.

You can define the following:

  • the type of planned business appointments that can be displayed, for example, phone calls
  • for which business partner appointments of a specific category should be displayed, for example confirmed account, ship-to party
  • the timeframe for which appointment rules should be displayed
  • the category of appointements that should be displayed simpultaneously
  • whether an agent may change a specific category of business appointment

The DFLT profile is a part of the standard delivery. It defines

  • that appointment categories, for example phone calls, delivery appointments, and visits, can be used in the IC WebClient
  • that phone call, visits and delivery appointments should be displayed together
  • that phone call and visit appointments may be both displayed and and maintained, and that delivery dates however may only be displayed
  • that phone call appointments for the confirmed person of contact should be used, visit appointments for the confirmed account, as well as delivery appointments for the ship-to party.

Defining permitted business appointment categories, that is those that may be used in the IC WebClient

  1. In the dialog structure, choose Allowed business appointment category.
  2. Enter a unique ID and a description.
  3. Select the ID.
  4. Choose the dialog strucutre Assign business appointment categories
  5. Enter the allowed business appointment categories, as well as the following information for each category:
  • whether it is only for display, or can also be maintained

  • whether for this category, business appointments for the confirmed account, or

  • for this category, business appointments for the confirmed person of contact, or

  • for this category, business appointments for the business partner should be used in the partner function for the current business transaction.

Grouping business appointment categories into display groups

  1. Choose the dialog structure Groups of business appointment categories.
  2. Enter a unique ID and description.
  3. Select the ID.
  4. Choose the dialog structure Assign business appointment categories.
  5. Enter which business appointment categories should be grouped together.

Profile definition for agreed business appointments

  1. In the dialog structure, choose IC Profile 'Planned Business Appointments.
  2. Enter a unique profile ID, and specify
  • to which day (today + default value) business appointments should be displayed in the default

  • to which day (today + maximum) business appointments should be displayed at the latest

  • which business appointment categories are allowed (see "Definition of Allowed Business Appointment Categories").

  1. Select an ID.
  2. In the dialog structure, choose Allowed groups of business appointment categories.
  3. Enter the allowed groups of business appointements (see "Grouping business appointment categories into display groups"), and define a group as the standard.
