This Business Add-In (BAdI) is used in the Interaction Center (CRM-IC) component. You can use this BAdI to influence the defaulted sender address in the e-mail editor for outbound mails.

The BAdI is called when an e-mail is created (new mail, reply, or forward) and when a mail form is inserted (automatically or manually).

The BAdI can be used to override the sender addresses configured in Customizing for SAP S/4HANA Service under Interaction Center WebClient -> Basic Functions -> Communication Channels -> Define Outgoing E-Mail Address Groups.

Note: If a draft e-mail is edited again after ending an interaction, the BAdI is not triggered again. Instead the address that was selected when the interaction ended remains selected and further addresses are offered for selection depending on the Customizing settings.

For more information about the standard settings (filters, single or multiple uses), see the Enhancement Spot Element Definitions tab in the BAdI Builder (transaction SE18).

The following example implementations are available:

  • Using a hard-coded list of e-mail addresses
  • Using the agent's e-mail address plus one hard-coded alternative
  • Using the outgoing address proposal from Customizing (see above) in reverse sequence

The BAdI can be used to determine sender addresses from custom tables, based on custom logic.
