In this IMG activity, you can define your own layouts for overview view sets.

In the layout, you define the number of rows and columns in the basic grid. In addition, you define the named view areas that appear in the cells of the grid, and that later serve as receptacles for overview views. A view area can also span multiple, connected cells or columns.

The standard system contains the following three layouts that you can use:

  • ",,FullScreenLayout (entire screen)
  • ",,SixCellLayout (grid with 6 view areas arranged in three rows and two columns)
  • ",,TLayout (layout in a "T" shape with two small areas placed next to each other at the top, and a wider area under that which is twice as high as the section above.)

The delivery class of the layouts is "E"; the customer namespace reserves layouts that begin with X, Y, or Z.

Define your own layouts as needed:

  • Enter a description.
  • Define the number of columns and rows in the layout.
You can assign a maximum of three rows and two columns.
  • Use the corresponding indicator to define whether you want to allow grid stretching so that, for example, views with long tables would have more space.
  • Define the various view areas of the layout.

Note:

The layouts delivered with the standard system cannot be changed directly. However, you can copy the layouts in the standard system into your own namespace and tailor the copies to your needs.
