In this IMG activity, you assign your overview view sets to the runtime framework profiles with which you want to use them.

You can use an overview view set either in none, one, or more than one runtime framework profiles. A runtime framework profile can in turn be used in any number of overview view sets.

For performance reasons, we recommend assigning overview view sets to the corresponding runtime framework view sets so that at runtime, only the overview view sets that should actually be used are uploaded to the runtime repository.

Regarding overview view sets, the same profile dependencies that you have defined manually in the runtime repository as valid for view sets are also valid for overview view sets. You must ensure that any overview view sets that you record in the navigation bar profile, and any overview view sets that you include via cross-linking between views in the application, are assigned to the corresponding runtime framework profile.

Overview view sets are listed by the user interface (UI) framework at runtime under the title CRM_IC_OVW/. They can no longer be replaced using the controller replacement function in the runtime framework profile.

You have defined your runtime framework profiles and overview view sets.

You use a standard runtime repository delivered by SAP or you have included the following page fragments from the Business Server Page (BSP) application CRM_IC_OVW_REP in your own runtime repository:

  • ",,:ViewSets.xml
  • ",,NavigationalLinks.xml
  • ",,workAreaContent.xml

Your runtime repository may also already include all or some of the fragments, since it also contains higher-level standard includes.

Your runtime repository must contain these dynamic portions for the overview view sets to function properly.

In addition, you must allow scripting in the page attributes of the BSP page that the runtime repository implements (delete indicator Without Script Code). For this page and for other included fragments in the layout, define "ABAP" as the script language. You can do so by using BSP directive <%@page language="abap" %> at the beginning of the page.

The delivery class of the assignment table is "C"; this corresponds to the delivery class of the runtime framework profile.

In the standard system, this table does not have any sample entries. However, the default behavior for standard runtime framework profiles is defined in system table CRMS_IC_OVWRFA.

Assign each runtime framework profile to the necessary overview view sets.
