SAP E-Book

In this IMG activity, you can assemble the overview view sets that you want to use in your Interaction Center (IC) WebClient profiles any way you like.

You can use all the standard layouts delivered by SAP to assemble overview view sets. You can also use any layouts or views that you have defined yourself, provided you have made the necessary Customizing settings for them.

You have registered any overview views that you have defined yourself in the overview view repository. You can do so in Customizing for Customer Relationship Management by choosing Interaction Center WebClient 2005 --> Customer-Specific System Modifications --> Overview View Sets --> Register Views for Overview View Sets.

You have defined your own layouts, if necessary. You can do so in Customizing for Customer Relationship Management by choosing Interaction Center WebClient 2005 --> Customer-Specific System Modifications --> Overview View Sets --> Define Layouts for Overview View Sets.

You define an overview view set by selecting a layout and assigning views from the overview view respository to the various view areas.

There is no need to manually record the overview view or the overview view set in the runtime repository.

Overview View Sets

You create an overview view sets as follows:

  • Define name
  • Enter description (language-dependent)
  • Choose layout
You can use the input help to select from all SAP standard layouts as well as any layouts you may have defined yourself.
You can reuse layouts as often as you like.
  • Define view set title (language-dependent)
  • (Optional) Change base value for calculation of the number of table lines for views
For more information, see the corresponding field help (F1).
  • (Optional) Define special view set controllers (Business Server Page (BSP) application and BSP view)
The impementation class of this type of view set controller must inherit from class CL_CRM_IC_OVW_VIEWSET (the input help only offers these types of controllers) and it only performs limited control functions.
Possible:
  • Your own context

  • Overwrite/Change, enhancement of the view set title

  • Breadcrumb support

  • Filter for displaying errors

Not possible:
  • Your own view layout or enhancement with data

  • Your own event handler

  • Programming access to the definition of the overview view set

View Assignment

Assign the appropriate views to the view areas of the selected layouts. The following spectrum of functions is available:

  • You can use the input help to select any of the views registered in the overview view repository.
  • You can reuse the overview views as many times as you like without having to copy or redefine the implementation of the views.
  • You can assign multiple views to one view area.
The links for switching between views that you have assigned to the same view area are generated automatically. Any views whose implementation contains a separate tray tag are excluded from this capability.
You can define the view sequence in the view area.
  • For each assignment of an overview view to a view area, and for most overview views, you can enter a view title (tray) and link text as freely-definable, language dependent texts.
  • For each assignment of an overview view to a view area, if the view is configurable, you can also enter view-specific configuration values for the fields included in the view. In other words, you can provide separate values for the view-specific configuration fields for each usage in a view set.
After you choose Configure View, a dialog box appears, in which you enter the appropriate values, according to type.
  • For more information about the different views, see the overview view repository in Customizing for Customer Relationship Management by choosing Interaction Center WebClient 2005 --> Customer-Specific System Modifications --> Overview View Sets --> Register Views for Overview View Sets.
  • (Optional) You can redefine navigation targets
To change the predefined navigation behavior for an overview view, you can redefine navigation links for each usage in an overview view set separately.
During this process, for comparison purposes, the system displays the standard navigation targets from the view definition entered in the overview view repository.

For each overview view set that is defined, a navigation link is automatically generated with the naming convention Overview ~. This link navigates from the navigation bar to the corresponding overview view set. You can use these navigation links to define appropriate entries for the navigation bar.

You can define navigation bar entries in Customizing for Customer Relationship Management by choosing Interaction Center WebClient 2005 --> Basic Functions --> Define Navigation Bar Profiles.

All changes made in this IMG activities are only visible after you restart the IC WebClient.
