CRM_IC_PCAT_SEARCH - Define Catalog Profiles for Product Search

You use this activity to enable the use of the product catalog in the product search in the Interaction Center. You maintain various catalog profiles, based on your catalogs, and these are then available for selection by the Interaction Center agent when searching for a product. The system runs the search of the agents criteria based on the catalog profiles maintained for the catalogs in this IMG activity. The agent can narrow the search further by entering catalog variants, and catalog areas. In addition the agent can search using various attributes taken from the list of characteristics maintained for the catalog.

• You have created a product catalog and catalog variant.

• You have replicated your product catalog variants.

To enable the search using the product catalog in the Interaction Center carry out the following steps:

1. Enter a name and description for your product catalog profile.

This name will be displayed for selection in the Interaction Center product catalog search field, and not the actual name of the product catalog.

1. Enter the product catalog and the product catalog variant which should be used for the search.
2. Enter a catalog view, if you are using one.

You can create as many profiles as you like. All these profiles will appear in the Interaction Center for selection in the product catalog search area.
