CRM_IIA_003 - Define System Defaults for Search Methods

In this IMG activity, you can:

• Specify the search methods to be used as system defaults in the Interactive Intelligent Agent (IIA)

This gives you the flexibility to choose the combination of search methods that produces the best results at your company by minimizing unrelated results. For example, you may not want to include the search method Phonetic in your combination if this search method produces too many hits.

• Deactivate search methods in the IIA

If a search method is deactivated in this IMG activity, users will be unable to include it in a different default combination of their own in their user settings. They will also be unable to use this search method to conduct individual searches.

In the standard system, the following search methods are set as the system defaults:

• Attribute

• Word stem

Use the standard setting in the CRM system. Activate the search method Word Within Word only if strictly necessary, and activate the search method Phonetic only if there are many key words or technical words in the area which could be misspelled.
