SAP E-Book

In this Customizing activity, you can define which user scenario should be used for B2C in CRM e-commerce (e-selling, e-marketing, and Internet Customer Self-Service (ICSS)):

  • Only Use Internet User (SU01)

This type of user scenario uses a SU01 user that is linked to a consumer business partner.

This structure gives you the option of defining personalization, workflow and specific user roles.

Administration of this user is possible via role maintenance for Internet users in the business partner master data.

This user scenario is the recommended configuration setting.

  • Only Use Internet User (SU05) (Obsolete)

Transaction SU05 is obsolete. For more information, see SAP Note 1324366 and SAP Note 593439.

  • Change Internet User (SU05) for Internet User (SU01)

This option is used to migrate an existing Internet user (SU05) to the new Internet user (SU01). This enables you to convert your existing SU05 users to the new SU01 user concept.

This scenario gives you the option of determining whether the SU05 users should be deleted after migration.

The entry Reference User Variable (see below) should be maintained in conjunction with this option.

Note

The SU05 user concept is obsolete. For more information, see SAP Note 1324366 and SAP Note 593439.

If there are internet users (SU05) in your system, you should make the following setting:

Change Internet User (SU05) for Internet User (SU01)

If there are no Internet users (SU05) in your system, you should make the following setting:

Only Use Internet User (SU01)

Reference User Variable :

This variable is required for defining the reference user, which is referenced, for example, when registering a new user in the Web, or during migration of Internet user (SU05) to Internet user (SU01). Its authorizations apply mainly to which functions can be performed in e-commerce (e-selling, e-marketing and Internet Customer Self-Service (ICSS)).

You can assign the the reference user to the reference user variable in Customizing by choosing Assign Reference User Variable for Internet Users (B2C). The reference user variable $INTERNETUSR is delivered as a default value with the SAP standard system (client 000), to which another user master record must be assigned.
